Background

Scandinavian Society of Neuro-oncology (SNOG)

was established already in 1980s with the overall aim to increase communication between Scandinavian neuro-oncology experts, including both basic scientists and clinicians from different fields, to facilitate new collaborations and improve those already established. SNOG symposium is one of the key events organized by the society.

Finnish Brain Tumor Research Association (FiBTRA)

was established in year 2015 with similar aims: increasing networking and interaction to improve our understanding of brain tumors and to enhance the development of better diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. FiBTRA has organized annual symposia each year since its establishment.
